- This compilation was compiled by the Lost Children net label and The Silent Ballet, a webzine that has been in the works for quite some time. The Silent Ballet is a webzine that will focus upon instrumental and postrock artists, as well the artists that catch our attention from other genres. Its main goal is to create a stronger instrumental community across the world and to function as a portal that actively brings musicians and listeners into an open discussion.
The Lost Children net label seeks to distribute music created by artists with humble budgets to all corners of the globe. The cost to the audience is, of course, nothing. Lost Children does not believe that in today’s technological world an artist should be unable to deliver his music to a willing listener just because he does not have sufficient label representation. Music is a joy in all of our lives and no one should be deprived of it.
- Johnny Poindexter started in 2001 as a bedroom project for Gavin, Simon and ex-bassist Nigel, who lived in a village near Bradford. things started small, doing limited release ep’s and various things. ‘Place Your Trust In Empty Spaces’ was made, and as it was being finished, more members joined the band, and johnny poindexter became the experimental.post-rock six piece it is now based in Leeds.
Joining the band in random stages, Johnny Poindexter looks like this- up front doing all the singing is Jamie Sidebottom, playing guitars are Gavin Miller and Tom Ragsdale, on drums is Andy Harvey, on keyboards and synths is Simon Glacken and playing bass is Leon Spencer.

- Part Rocket is a musical collective born in Cardiff and now residing in London. They produce leftfield instrumental music, remaining true to the experimental nature of post-rock, weaving from quiet and rhythmic, to full on intense and distorted mayhem whilst melodies come and go as they please.
‘Kneel Before the Throne and Drink the Blood of your Own’ is the second EP from Part Rocket, the first ‘Good Bye Morning Satellite’ is available from their website www.partrocket.com.

‘Caught and Lost’ is the natural progression from Loss of a Child’s debut, continuing the ideal of producing an album over a collection of songs. ‘Caught and Lost’ is essentially a 40+ minute piece, and works all the better for it. The emotions vary throughout, taking the listener on a journey from beginning to end. Loss of a Child has expanded it’s sound to create a masterpiece of originality within instrumental rock.

- “My Happiness” marks the first year of Kinkymints activity. The road to happiness started in August 2007, just before EHHF (Estonian Hip Hop Festival). Addition to Kinkymint some songs are sung by Heli Robo and OkYm RiIm. The vocal part is mostly overflown with mellow overdrive. Backgrounds are naive and simple, influenced by the 90’s, italo and Viva2. From clubtechno to positive sine wave and madness of being in love.

- SST GENS V2 package for Ableton Live 7, containing all 1085 simpler instrument presets and the samples. This replaces the previous F1 and B1 packs which are included.SST GENs 8 Macro ControlsThese tweakable sound scape and texture generators consist of four bandpassed simpler devices in a grouped instrument rack. Each of the four sound sources filter frequencies can be adjusted across the entire frequency range using four macro control knobs creating a unique new sound. There are also macros to control the devices overall pitch, volume, resonance and spread.
